My first visit to Paisanos Stone Fired Pizza was nothing short of delightful! From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. We started with their signature Piesanos Rolls. They were an instant hit with their soft texture covered in their in house Italian dressing and finished with parmesean. It was after graduation and it was late so opted for appetizers versus individual meals. We had bruschetta, which was a fantastic choice. The fresh tomatoes, basil, and balsamic drizzle on perfectly toasted bread were a heavenly combination. The Caesar salad was equally impressive--crisp romaine lettuce, creamy dressing, and a generous sprinkle of Parmesan made it a refreshing and satisfying dish. The star though, was the Meatball Italiana. The meatballs were tasty and covered in provolone and topped with fresh basil, while sitting in a very tasty gravy and fresh ricotta and accompanied with flatbread. All I can say is, that was the best meal we had during our stay. Overall, Paisanos Stone Fired Pizza provided an outstanding dining experience with exceptional food, cozy ambiance and an AWESOME bartender. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-notch Italian cuisine!

Visited Piesanos with my friends before the game this past Saturday! We needed something good to eat before the game started. Most places were packed and we wanted to sit down and eat. The service was quick, just like last time. We were seated right away and our server came by to get our drinks very quickly. To start, we ordered their rolls and the calamari appetizer. Our server bought out the rolls pretty quickly. I was a little disappointed because the rolls were not warm and tasted as though they had been sitting out for a while. However, the calamari hit the spot! The calamari was lightly breaded and fried with hot cherry peppers, served with marinara. We all enjoyed this appetizer and found it to be the perfect size for sharing. I will say, the calamari wasn't "lightly breaded" as the menu claimed, but it was still satisfying. For our mains, I ordered the 12" medium meatball and ricotta pizza, while my friends ordered the lunch portion of the fettuccine Alfredo and the eggplant parmesan. Our food came out roughly 10-15 minutes after we ordered. My pizza was so yummy and a great size, as I was very hungry. There were ample amounts of meatballs and ricotta spread across the pizza. It also included mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. This was a really good pizza. The crust wasn't too thick and it wasn't overly sauced or cheesed. While the toppings are a little heavier, they had so much flavor. The crust could have had some more color to it, but overall I thought it was great! My friends liked their dishes as well. The fettuccine Alfredo is pretty standard and nothing that stands out. The sauce was quite oily, making the already heavy dish even heavier. The eggplant parmesan was also nothing super special. Pretty standard for your average Italian restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Piesanos. I would recommend ordering pizza over their other Italian dishes such as pasta. The pasta dishes were really heavy and too saucy. I think the pizza is really where it is at here. I look forward to trying more of their pizzas in the future!

If you come here for anything, come for the piesano's rolls. My mouth waters thinking about this free appetizer that this restaurant gives to guests. It's the perfect restaurant after a game day, or even a laid back dinner with friends. The pastas and pizzas are pretty flavorful and I've enjoyed mostly everything I've ordered before. There's usually a 15-30 min wait because of how busy it is, but the service is pretty quick for being such a packed restaurant. Loved the sriracha hot honey pizza that I tried this time!

Oftentimes you hear GenXers reminisce about old school Pizza Huts. This is as close as you'll get to an old school Pizza Hut. They've got good food at fair prices. The service staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and prompt with service. We called ahead, as there was a line out the door the last time we went. Upon entering, they seated us and our waitress took our drink orders and gave us menus. I ordered a flight of beer from their extensive tap menu (40, if I recall correctly). They do a great job supporting local brewers and there was a good selection of Gainesville and Florida brewers. One standout that I have't seen in Northern Virginia was the Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale. It was excellent. We got the supreme pizza, spaghetti & meatballs, and a caesar salad. Dinner and drinks for four was under $100 and they throw in garlic bread. The atmosphere was cozy and there were plenty of TVs showing various games. I'm a big fan and this place is one of the reasons I look forward to visiting Gainesville.

We are huge fans of piesqnos and we usually visit the location in Saint Augustine but today we were headed to the gators game and wanted to try this location. It was a great choice for game day. They were busy but super efficient and made sure to communicate that time for the calzone would be longer. We also had the new lasagna pizza and it was great. Not pictured was the bruschetta flat bread but the phone did not eat first. Hand down to the team for keeping the busy location moving and super clean. They are the real mvp also....go gators.

This was our family's first time at Piesano's, and return visits will definitely be in order every time we're in Gainesville. We were lucky to have stopped by for an early dinner before it got crowded. The service was excellent, and food was amazing. We ordered two pies -- the Pizza Antico and Pepperoni Explosion. The crust was delicious, crispy on the bottom and chewy in the middle. I highly recommend both for pepperoni fans. Their complimentary dinner rolls were fantastic! Some of the best I've ever had. The dining room is charming, and of course I loved the Gators pride. When we left, there were several groups outside waiting for tables, a testament of how much people love their food. The staff were friendly, and everything about our visit was excellent!

Ordered pies and some appetizers to go. They were extremely busy because it was move in weekend. The fried ravioli was outstanding. The pizza was very good but definitely needed to be cooked longer. I asked for them very well done and they were far from that. Will give them another try maybe on a not so busy weekend
